Rss-Rss respects intellectual property rights and complies with the procedures of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act for notices and counter-notices related to content appearing on this site.
How to Report
Filing a DMCA Notice
Information to Include
A valid notice should identify the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, describe the material on Rss-Rss that is alleged to be infringing, and provide contact details for the complaining party.
Include a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that the complaining party is authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
Where to Send It
Send completed notices to the site administrators by email at contactus@rss-rss.net using a subject line that clearly identifies the message as a DMCA notice.
Upon receipt of a valid notice, Rss-Rss will review the request and act in accordance with applicable DMCA procedures, which may include removal of or restricted access to the referenced material.
Counter-Notices
Counter-Notification & Repeat Infringers
A party affected by a removal may submit a counter-notice containing the elements required by the DMCA. Rss-Rss may forward the counter-notice as provided by law and, where appropriate, restore access to the material.
Repeated submission of infringing material may result in additional administrative action regarding the associated account or submission.
For news and digital media sites that aggregate headlines from across the web, respecting copyright is part of how the platform earns long-term trust. A clearly stated DMCA policy signals that the team understands the difference between sharing links or excerpts and reproducing protected work, and that it has a process in place when rights holders raise a concern. Readers benefit too, because a predictable takedown workflow keeps the focus on reporting rather than on disputes that could overshadow the journalism itself.
A DMCA notice is most useful when it is specific and proportionate. Identifying the copyrighted material at issue, pointing to where the allegedly infringing copy appears on the site, and supplying accurate contact details give a publisher everything needed to evaluate the claim promptly. Including a good-faith statement and a sworn affirmation that the information is true helps filter out abusive or mistaken requests, which protects both rights holders and the site itself from needless friction.
Equally important is the counter-notice path, which exists so that legitimate uses of content can be restored when a takedown is disputed. Counter-notifications require comparable rigor: identifying the removed material, explaining why the use was authorized or otherwise lawful, and consenting to the jurisdiction of a federal court. When both sides follow the same structured process, the result is a calmer, more transparent system that supports a healthy news ecosystem without freezing the everyday flow of information.
